Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
