19 of Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev secured his maiden title for over two years with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a former number one, has had a torrid season, managing just a single victory at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
Medvedev's varied form on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in especial - led to him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately splitting with long-term mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, he has consistently improved in the recent weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks his first championship after the Italian tournament and first on a hard surface from that period of the previous year.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one distinct events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my two daughters together, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his past six championship matches, comprising in that event previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and regular outbursts on the playing surface had led some to question if his ability to perform at the elite level was over.
Yet the player has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete aggressively, supported by an enhanced serving game.
The champion recovered from a break down in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, taking 4 of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped service breaks in the second set before Moutet, striving for his maiden professional championship, seized the initiative to force a decider.
The opponent defended 4 early-game chances in a close final set before Medvedev broke to 15 to secure the win.
Suitably, Medvedev earned victory with a shot at the net area, with Moutet incapable to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
