I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
